Consultation: Health and safety offences, corporate manslaughter and food safety and hygiene offences guidelines

On 13 November 2014, the Sentencing Council opened its  public consultation on draft guidelines for Health and safety offences, corporate manslaughter and food safety and hygiene offences.

If implemented, the guidelines could mean increased fines of up to £20 million and those convicted of fatal health and safety offences could face fines of up to £10 million.

The consultation will end on 18 February 2015.
