NLA media access and Copyright Licensing Agency (CLA) have announced a collaboration designed to simplify copyright licensing for FE, HE and schools. From 2014 colleges and universities who copy newspaper content included within the NLA’s repertoire will be able to obtain a licence through the CLA which has been appointed NLA’s exclusive agent for all UK education licensing. While the CLA will initially provide the NLA licence alongside its own licences it is intended that the partners will work towards increased harmonisation of licence terms in future.
